Here's my (huge) torn paper picture. I tore the pieces, stuck them down (I'm not sure if you can tell from a picture, but the blues are tissue paper, which made things difficult!) and when they'd dried, I scribbled over the whole thing with more ink to add details - I thought I'd hate how inaccurate this idea would be, but it was actually quite... fun?
This is a blog of all my (non-sketchbook) artwork during my OCA drawing course - although I have been on the course a while, I neglected writing much about it until started the blog, and had a backlog of things to share. So it may start in a very prolific way, and when I have caught up with my work at the present, tail off slightly. But anyway - this is my online log of the artwork I've done, and my notes on it - I keep the other part of my log: the places I've been, things I like, artists I've looked at, in a book like a sketchbook. I thought this would be the best way, so that I could keep a photographic record of all my drawings in case they get lost or damaged, and a book of pasted in pictures I'm ok about writing around (and to avoid any copyright issues from embedding other people's work!). It just works best for me. Just a couple of notes to add: All my 'old' drawings are from mid '09, and I've included them to help show my progress. The posts without 'old' in the title are drawings from after I started the course to the present.
